“The issues of ensuring military security in the Eastern Region will be worked out at the Vostok-2022 maneuvers,” the ministry said in a statement.
It is specified that the exercises will be held at seven air defense ranges, as well as in the waters and coastal zones of the Sea of Okhotsk and the Sea of Japan.
The purpose of the maneuvers is to improve the skills of commanders in command and control of troops in repelling aggression in the Eastern direction and in the Far Eastern sea zone.
Earlier, artillerymen of the army corps of the Eastern Military District conducted exercises on Sakhalin.
As reported by the FAN, at the Khmelevka training ground in the Kaliningrad region, exercises of the Marines of the Baltic Fleet with firing took place.
