The Transportation Department of Sharjah City Municipality has developed a comprehensive plan and formed a specialized team to monitor the collection of directional signs that need to be replaced, in addition to implementing the continuous process of cleaning the signboards, in order to ensure the preservation of the city's aesthetic appearance.
The director of the administration, Salem Saeed Al-Suwaidi, said that the municipality is constantly working to clean the directional and traffic signs, and other public facilities in the streets, squares and parks, according to timetables that have been prepared in an orderly manner to ensure coverage of all areas and roads of the main and subsidiary city, indicating that the municipality monitors distortions. And work to remove them in cooperation and coordination with the relevant departments in the municipality and the rest of the relevant government departments.
He explained that the municipality succeeded during the last period in upgrading the aesthetic form of the city and enhancing the visual vision of the residents and visitors, to ensure that they enjoy the aesthetics of the city, stressing the role of the public in cooperating with the municipality to preserve the aesthetic form that the emirate enjoys, stressing that the municipality is intensifying its efforts this year simultaneously. With the celebrations of Sharjah, the capital of Arab tourism, in order to maintain the cleanliness and beauty of the city around the clock.
He stated that the municipality has provided all modern tools that help speed up and treat all deformations as quickly as possible, in addition to a working team of specialists, and a permanent monitoring and follow-up device to take the necessary measures, as painting, replacement and cleaning work are carried out.
