Izvestia: AKIT proposes to extend the validity of parallel imports in Russia for 2023

According to the Izvestia newspaper, this was stated by the president of the organization Artyom Sokolov.

According to him, otherwise retail will face a shortage of products in terms of categories.

“It is enough to look at any website of an online store or online platform to make sure that parallel import works, it is important and necessary,” Sokolov noted.

Thanks to parallel imports, the range of goods in Russia is expanding, and consumers can get any product, despite the sanctions, he stressed.

In June, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law legalizing parallel imports by 2022.

On July 11, the Ministry of Industry and Trade approved changes to the list of goods for parallel imports, adding Siemens, BMW and LEGO products to it.

The changes also affected perfumes and cosmetics, batteries, machine tool and other products.
