The Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai has revealed that 55% of the development project of the Falcon Intersection, located between Al Khaleej Street, Khalid Bin Al Waleed Street and Al Ghubaiba Streets, has been completed, and it will be linked with Al Shindagha Bridge (Infinity) from the northern side.

He added that the development of Al Saqr Intersection is part of the Al Shindagha Corridor development project, which extends along Sheikh Rashid Street, Al Mina Street, Al Khaleej Street and Cairo Street with a length of 13 km. The capacity of the Gulf and Mina Streets, raising the efficiency of the road and the level of traffic safety, in addition to providing entrances and exits to Port Rashid, and providing more parking spaces under the new bridge to serve the area.
Al Tayer explained that the project executing company has completed the implementation of the northern main bridge at Al Saqr Intersection and the connection with the new Infinity Bridge and Al Shindagha Tunnel on the Deira side, in addition to linking with the improved intersections on Sheikh Rashid Street, and the completion of 25% of the tunnel implementation works from Khalid Bin Street Al Waleed to Al Mina Street, and works are underway for the southern main bridge, in addition to deep utilities works and a storm water drainage station.
He pointed out that the capacity of bridges and tunnels in the project is 28,800 vehicles per hour, and the project includes the implementation of two bridges along Al Khaleej Street: the first with a length of 750 meters in the northern direction, and the second with a length of 1075 meters in the southern direction, and includes six lanes in each direction, with a capacity of up to The project also includes the construction of a 250-meter-long bridge for the right turn from Khalid Bin Al Waleed Street to Al Khaleej Street, with a capacity to accommodate 1,600 vehicles per hour, in addition to the construction of a tunnel with a capacity of two lanes for the left turn from Khalid Street. Bin Al Waleed to Al Mina Street with a length of 500 meters and a capacity of 3,200 vehicles per hour, as well as the construction of a surface intersection controlled by a traffic light linking Al Khaleej Street with Al Ghubaiba Street and Khalid Bin Al Waleed Street, in addition to road paving, street lighting, traffic regulations, and a rainwater drainage network. and irrigation systems.
It is noteworthy that the Shindagha Corridor development project is one of the largest projects currently being implemented by the authority, and due to its magnitude, it has been divided into seven phases, six of which have been completed: the intersection of Sheikh Rashid Street and Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Street, and the entrances and exits of Deira Islands at the intersection of Abu Bakr Al Siddik Street. And improvements to the intersection of Omar Bin Al Khattab and Al Musalla Streets with Al Khaleej Street, the flyovers on the Corniche Street, the Infinity Bridge, and the Infinity Bridge ramp on the Bur Dubai side, where Al Shindagha Bridge (Infinity) is one of the bridges distinguished by its unique architectural design.
