The ruling Conservative Party leader election, which will decide the successor to British Prime Minister Johnson, will be announced on the 5th of next month.

With inflation at record levels and economic policy at the forefront of the debate, Foreign Minister Truss has a clear lead over former Finance Minister Sunak in polls of party members who have vowed to implement immediate tax cuts.

Foreign Secretary Truss and former Chancellor Sunak are in a run-off election for the leadership of the British Conservative Party following Prime Minister Boris Johnson's announcement of his resignation.

Approximately 160,000 party members are voting by mail or online, and the deadline will be on the 2nd of next month and the results will be announced on the 5th.

Economic policy is the biggest issue in the party leadership election as the UK consumer price index rose 10.1% last month, a record level in almost 40 years.

Mr. Truss said he would implement the tax cut immediately, while Mr. Sunak was initially cautious about the tax cut, saying it would accelerate inflation. We are trying to catch up with plans to abolish the period and future income tax reductions.

A survey of party members conducted by YouGov, a major research company, until the 17th of this month found that Truss had an approval rating of 66%, while Sunak had an approval rating of 34%. Truss continues to lead by a large margin.

Both candidates are expected to hold their final debate in London on the 31st, and a fierce debate will be exchanged.
