According to the Chancellor, a unified European approach is needed to stabilize the situation.

“We must finally stop the madness that is currently happening in the energy markets, and this can only be done with a European solution,” the chancellor said.

According to him, the reduction of the exchange price for electricity is necessary for the economy, in particular, for industry.

He plans to discuss this issue with other EU leaders.

Nehammer also added that it is necessary to deprive Russia of the ability to determine European electricity prices every day, but did not propose any action to this end.

Earlier, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russia Dmitry Medvedev predicted an increase in gas prices to €5,000 by the end of 2022.
