At the turn of the year, the law regarding littering was tightened.

You can now be fined even if you throw smaller items of litter on the ground, such as snuff and cigarette butts.

It is above all these small litter criminals that Karlskoga Energy and Environment wants to get rid of.

With the help of a public art piece, they want to spread knowledge about how rubbish thrown into the municipality's street wells affects the water, people and animals.

- Most existing street wells go straight into the lakes.

What you throw in the street well flows straight into the lake, says Peter Jarl, marketing manager at Karlskoga Energy and Environment.

Want to remove the stylus

The artwork is a 3D illustration of Lake Möckeln, painted around a street well.

Behind it stands the municipal company in collaboration with a communications agency and the graffiti artist Robert Forsberg.

According to Peter Jarl, the work is appreciated by the residents and a way to spread knowledge to all target groups.

- We don't want to work with "Aja baja".

We remove the stylus and try to illustrate the problem and try to make it more understandable.
