At the Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD), Prime Minister Kishida announced a policy of investing a total of $30 billion in public and private funds over the next three years in order to boost the growth of Africa.

On the final day of the conference, the 28th, the Tunis Declaration, which incorporates the results of the discussions, is expected to be adopted.

At the opening ceremony, Prime Minister Kishida said, "Japan wants to be a partner that grows together with Africa." He announced a policy of investing in dollar-scale funds.

On the 28th, the final day of TICAD, discussions will be held on the themes of "society" and "peace and stability," and the results of the two days will be incorporated into the "Tunis Declaration."
