The head of the Emirates Retirees Association, Obaid Hadid Al-Khamisi, stated that there is a new package of services that the association is working to provide to its members, most notably discounts on flights, telecommunications companies, electricity, and health insurance.

He confirmed to "Emirates Today", that "Emirates Airlines" provided great support based on an agreement that will start to be implemented on September 15, represented in discounts to members of the association, and an agreement is underway with "Air Arabia", "Fly Dubai" and "Etihad", in addition to The two companies "Etisalat" and "du", where we asked them for a special discount, and the employment of the children of retirees.

He considered that "honoring the retired is done by ensuring a decent life for him and his children," adding that "in the health field, there is a private hospital to provide medical services to retirees, and the most important thing we are seeking now is health insurance for the association's members, and discounts on electricity and phones.

Meetings are also currently being arranged with (Esaad) and (Fazaa) officials to offer discounts to the association's members and affiliates.

"The association is currently unable to provide financial support to its members, but we have cooperative societies that support us, such as the Sharjah Cooperative Society and the Sharjah Charity Society," he said.

Finally, the General Assembly of the Emirates Retirees Association approved the election of a new board of directors for the association, comprising 11 members, by acclamation, during the General Assembly meeting at the Sharjah Culture Palace headed by the association's president, Obaid Hadid Al-Khamisi.
