According to the document, Paris and Berlin said that the European Union should continue to issue visas to Russians who are not related to the government - for example, students, artists, scientists and specialists.

“Realizing the concerns in this context of some member states, we should not underestimate the transformative power of personal experience of living in democratic systems, especially for future generations,” RIA Novosti quotes the material.

In addition, it is expected that at the upcoming meeting, the EU Foreign Ministers will discuss additional bureaucratic procedures and increased costs for Russian citizens who want to obtain a visa to travel to the European Union.

Earlier it was reported that the Czech government proposed to suspend the simplified visa regime between the EU countries and Russia, as well as between the European Union and Belarus.
