On August 25, the Wing Loong-2H UAV independently developed by the aviation industry successfully participated in the large-scale UAV artificial rain enhancement operation organized by the Weather Modification Center of the China Meteorological Administration and the Sichuan Meteorological Bureau.
The Wing Loong-2H UAV used in this operation is an artificial weather modification UAV, which can perform artificial rain (snow) operations.
At 12:46 on the same day, the Wing Loong-2H UAV taxied and took off from the Aba Hongyuan Airport at an altitude of about 3,500 meters, and performed shadowing operations in the area south of the airport according to the mission requirements.
At 16:36, the drone landed smoothly, flying for a total of 3 hours and 50 minutes
It is reported that since July 2022, Sichuan Province has experienced continuous high temperature and little rain, extreme drought in some areas, and a high level of fire danger in forests and grasslands.
The meteorological department will seize the opportunity to continue to carry out artificial rain enhancement operations to alleviate the drought in Sichuan.
In order to alleviate the drought in Sichuan, the artificial rain-enhancing weather process will continue until the 29th.
