On the afternoon of the 25th, the Foshan branch of the 2022 Nanguo Shuxiang Festival continued wonderfully. Yang Ke, the president of the Chinese Poetry Society and the poet, and Zhang Kuang, the chairman of the Foshan Writers Association and the poet, had a dialogue on the theme of "Consciousness and Expectation of Poetry Writing in the New Era".

China is a land of poetry. From the Book of Songs and Songs of Chu to Tang poetry and Song poetry, countless beautiful poems have been born in this land.

How to continue and make good use of the rich classical cultural resources in poetry creation in the new era?

In this regard, Yang Ke believes that, different from the critical attitude adopted by the pioneers of new literature during the "May Fourth" period because of practical needs, at present, with the precipitation of culture and the development of the times, writers should take a positive attitude and take the initiative to communicate with classical literature " Reconciliation" and "dialogue", take the essence and discard the dross, in order to achieve the improvement of the creative level.

Taking Su Shi, a great writer in the Northern Song Dynasty as an example, Yang Ke further elaborated on the charm of classical culture.

He introduced that Li Bai's poems are hearty and full of romantic feelings; Du Fu's life was bumpy, and his works focused on the suffering of his family and the people, forming a depressing realistic art style; while Su Shi lived a Du Fu-style hard life, but wrote Li Bai's arrogant poems are worthy of admiration.

He believed that Su Shi's open-mindedness had a profound impact on Chinese literati, and even had a positive impact on the national character.

"Writers in the new era must not have the feeling of 'poor words'." Zhang Kuang believes that China is the only country among the four ancient civilizations that has not experienced faults, and its cultural accumulation is extremely rich. "Our life has a source. , words have a source, and culture has a source.”

Zhang Kuang said that in the face of the profound historical background of the great country, literary and artistic workers and writers need to maintain a high degree of cultural confidence.

In his view, the cultural accumulation of the Chinese nation brings endless possibilities for the creation of literary and art workers.

While making good use of classical cultural resources, poetry creation in the new era needs to reflect the development of the times and social changes in a timely manner.

This is clearly reflected in Yang Ke's poems: his works such as "Walking in Commodities" and "Tianhe City Square" in the 1990s, keenly captured the cross-section of the era when the modern commodity economy came Strong, the breath of the times is blowing.

Since then, the poems "Artificial Intelligence Beautiful Girl" and "Meet the Future in Huaqiangbei" have extended humanistic care to the digital age.

"I think poetic works should focus on reality and the present, and present this." Yang Ke said at the event.

In response to the question of how young writers can overcome their creative anxiety, Zhang Kuang responded: "Writers should have the consciousness of giving back to the land, the times, the society and the people, but not necessarily to reach an unrealistic height. Writers have their own direction - as long as you don't lose yourself, lose yourself in the direction and goals you set, your writing will be well-founded and live up to the source."

At present, the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area has taken solid steps. How can poet creators respond to this trend of the times?

Yang Ke believes that the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area is geographically similar and has a similar cultural background. Faced with this background, poetry creators can start from the common or commonalities of all parts of the Bay Area, such as language, climate, diet, technology, etc. Endow the works with a certain universal significance and activate the context of the Greater Bay Area.

Zhang Kuang pointed out that while grasping the commonalities of all parts of the Greater Bay Area, writers also need to pursue the "heterogeneity" of personal creation and form their own unique creative style. And then go higher and farther, and get closer to the pulse of the times.” (End)
