[Commentary] During the summer vacation, the "post-90s" Taiwanese youth Lin Ziyou was very busy.

As the principal of a community education school in Chadianzi Street, Chengdu, she not only has to teach students lessons and teach them to sing, but also take them to visit Chinese cultural exhibitions, or do charity work to experience the hardships of different occupations.

Lin Ziyou, born in 1993, comes from an "educational family" in Changhua, Taiwan. Her mother is a well-known education expert in Taiwan.

Influenced by her family, she was determined to engage in education since she was a child, and she also set her sights on the mainland early.

Because of my mother's influence, she really began to take root in the mainland in (2014), and then she would return to Taiwan to share with us, and then (2015) I came to Changsha to really get to know each other when I had the opportunity. mainland.

After I finished, I felt that the (Continent) I had introduced was different from what I had imagined, and it also made me want to come to the Continent even more, thinking it was a good platform.

In the past 5 years, I have traveled two-thirds of China (mainland), which will make me return to our Chinese history, the roots of China, which will make me realize that I am Chinese again. matter.

[Explanation] Living in the mainland, Lin Ziyou not only felt the depth of Chinese history, but also witnessed the rapid economic and social development of the mainland.

In 2020, with the sudden outbreak of the new crown epidemic, Lin Ziyou, who has worked hard in the mainland for many years, made the decision to start a business.

In the two years since she settled in Chengdu, Lin Ziyou's biggest feeling is that she is being accepted and recognized by a city.

During the Spring Festival this year, she and her mother could not return to Taiwan due to the epidemic, but the parents of the students brought tears to her eyes in the warmest way.

The third day after the event was New Year's Eve. (Parents) asked us, where are you going back this year for Chinese New Year, and then I said we didn't go back, we were in Chengdu, and they even held a small meeting by themselves.

(Parents) said not to let them spend the New Year alone in Chengdu, but to let them feel the enthusiasm of the Chengdu people.

After they finished their discussion, they pulled us aside and said, "We've taken care of your Chinese New Year."

At that time, I felt that it was actually very moving. I thought of us as their own family, and even cooked a lot of Taiwanese dishes for us to eat. I couldn't go back. I felt that this was my home.

[Explanation] In addition to his daily work, Lin Ziyou is very enthusiastic about public welfare. He not only won the "Chengdu Universiade Citizen Promotion Ambassador", but also won the "Chengdu Youth May 4th Medal" in 2022, which deepens the fate with Chengdu.

In Lin Ziyou's view, after the mainland's "double reduction" policy, community education schools that land on their doorsteps will usher in room for development.

At present, her school is mainly engaged in education and training such as public welfare moral education camps and slash children's growth records. When it comes to the future, Lin Ziyou is even more confident.

We hope that we can truly build a more complete platform for volunteer services.

The moral education camp is also purely public welfare, which can let (children) know that knowledge and action must be integrated.

Because we hope that the child will be determined from an early age, he will read for himself, learn for himself, we will take the child to know all walks of life, let them find their own interests in all walks of life, and he will have the opportunity to shine in the future.
