Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, how has the overall employment situation in my country been?

In order to achieve more adequate and higher-quality employment, what will be the next step?

　　Li Zhong introduced that since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the employment situation has remained generally stable, and relatively full employment has been achieved in a country with a population of 1.4 billion.

　　First, the scale of urban employment continues to expand.

The average annual increase in urban employment has exceeded 13 million, and a total of 130 million new urban employment has been achieved in ten years. The surveyed unemployment rate is generally lower than the expected control target.

　　Second, the employment structure is more optimized.

The urban and rural employment pattern has undergone historic changes. In 2021, the proportion of urban employed persons will reach 62.7%, the tertiary industry has become the largest "accommodator" of employment, and the "inverted pyramid" employment structure of the three industries has gradually formed.

　　Third, the quality of employment has steadily improved.

The wage level has been continuously improved. In 2021, the wages of urban units will double from 2012. The coverage of social insurance will continue to expand, and the protection of the rights and interests of flexible employees will continue to improve.
