The State Department commented on the possibility of contact between Blinken and Lavrov at the UN General Assembly

“We have nothing to announce yet regarding meetings within the UN General Assembly or anything on the sidelines [of the session],” TASS quoted him as saying.

Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry said that the United States should refrain from provocative actions in connection with the arrival of Lavrov's special aircraft in New York for the UN General Assembly in September.
