This novel published by Albin Michel receives the back-to-school prize, awarded to the author during this festival on Sunday in Chanceaux-près-Loches (Indre-et-Loire).

Formerly called La Forêt des livres, and founded by the writer Gonzague Saint Bris, who died in 2017, this festival is holding its 26th edition in Touraine.

In "La Revanche des orages", this journalist who was interested in other secondary historical figures illustrates the torments of Claude Eatherly, a Texan who made a reconnaissance mission before the dropping of the A-bomb on the Japanese city, then in felt eternal guilt.

Other prizes have been awarded by this festival.

That of the jury went to Sylvie Le Bihan for "Les Sacrifiés" (Denoël), on Spain between the two wars.

Laura Poggioli wins the first novel prize for "Three Sisters" (L'Iconoclaste), which tells the true story of three young parricidal Russians, and Clara Benador the revelation prize for "Les Petites Amoureuses" (Gallimard), which tells a friendship in Casablanca during the Second World War.
