A general meeting of the Legislative and Judiciary Committee of the National Assembly convened to review the previous year's accounts.

Kim Jin-wook, the Minister of Air Transport, who attended the meeting, said that he was considering an investigation when asked by a member of the Democratic Party, "Can the president's spouse be investigated?"

Last month, a civic group filed a complaint with the Ministry of Public Relations against President Yoon Seok-yeol, First Lady Kim, and People's Power Minority Leader Kwon Seong-dong, on charges of abuse of power and violation of the Solicitation and Graft Act.

In the Judiciary Committee, there was a clash when Chairman Kim Do-eup, who belongs to the People's Power, blocked questions about pending issues, saying it was a meeting for discussion on the settlement of accounts.

[Kim Eui-gyeom/Democratic Party Member: (Chairman Kim Do-eup) made some prior censorship remarks to the question.]

[Kim Do-eup/Chairman of the Judiciary (People's Power): Apologies to Kim Eui-gyeom, the word of prior censorship.]

At the meeting held again after one adjournment, Democrat lawmakers did not attend, so the settlement of accounts was postponed.

This year alone, the Information Committee was scheduled to handle the revision of the Property Tax Act, which raises the tax deduction standard for one householder from 1.1 billion won to 1.4 billion won.

A vote was not reached at the end of the half meeting because Democrats did not attend, demanding the withdrawal of the 'rich tax cut'.

The over-defense was the fourth time the People's Power lawmakers boycotted the meeting, saying that Democratic Party Chairman Chung Cheong-rae's decision was arbitrary.
