The party constitution amendment bill was rejected by the Central Committee of the Democratic Party.

The decision came after a lot of protests about the revision for Rep. Jae-myung Lee, but the impact is not small.

The revision of the Democratic Party's constitution, which seemed to be proceeding in an instant, was put to a halt.

Partial amendments to Article 80 of the Party Constitution related to 'suspending party office' when accused of corruption were rejected, as well as a new proposal to make the highest decision-making method for all members of the right party paying party fees.

These are the voting results of the Central Committee, which is made up of members of the party's lawmakers, regional leaders, and basic groups.

[Byun Jae-il/Chairman of the Democratic Party Central Committee: We declare that the amendment to the party constitution was rejected because it was less than 50% (in favor).]

The amendment to the party constitution, which was promoted ahead of the national convention to elect a new leader on the 28th, will be revised by Lee Jae-myung, a powerful party leader. This is something that legislators have agreed to.

[Lee Jae-myung/Democratic Party Member: Basically, I think that the more votes the party members ask for their intentions on major issues, the better (I think)]

However, there were opposition opinions that the non-Lee Jae-myung world could go the path of satanicization. .

In particular, Rep. Park Yong-jin, who is a competitor to the party, appealed to the Central Committee members to reject the amendment to the Party Constitution, saying that there was not a sufficient deliberation process.

[Park Yong-jin / Democratic Party Assemblyman: I have set a very important milestone to straighten the Democratic Party, I think.]

It seems that the result of a denial was unexpected, as the so-called faction conflict over whether to revise the constitution of the party was raised, and the central committee members were concerned about the reduction of powers due to the strengthening of party member voting.

Except for the controversial provision for the status of voting by party members, the Democratic Party decided to resume the resolution procedure of the party committee and the central committee the next day on the 25th for the remaining amendments to the party constitution.
