Al-Lala said that there are wrong behaviors that most students and teachers follow during the summer vacation, including staying up late and irregular sleeping hours, which negatively affects their mental abilities and mental health, as well as weak immunity to diseases.

He called on the students' parents to set the biological clock for their children well before the beginning of the school year, as this process requires at least three to four weeks to adjust it.

He explained that with the beginning of the school year, it is difficult for students to reset the "biological clock" of sleeping and waking up, as this process requires sufficient time of up to four weeks as a maximum, which is reflected on their performance in the classroom and their absorption of the lessons.

The health educator identified several steps to reset the biological clock for their children, including scheduling their children’s use of electronic devices in preparation for their withdrawal from them at the start of the school year, gradually reducing night hours, waking them up early, reducing sitting hours in front of the TV, and the need to organize meal times, Especially breakfast, and gradual regulation of the daily wake-up time.

He stated that studies conducted on students showed that those who sleep between 8 and 10 hours a day have a much better focus and academic performance than those who sleep less, noting that night sleep is more beneficial for mental and physical health than daytime sleep.

For his part, family medicine specialist, Dr. Adel Saeed Sajwani, stressed that students must generally get used to a good sleep regime, as the body secretes growth hormone in young people during the period of sleep at night, and staying up late leads to the emergence of psychological diseases in the young age group, so It is advised to adjust the biological clock for children to gradually start sleeping early, to be keen before the start of the school year to wake up early, engage in sports activities that consume their energy, reduce electronic games and reduce the use of tablets at least four days before the start of the school year, as they lead To sleep and sleep.

He also advised to reduce sleep during the day, days before the beginning of the school year, so that they can sleep easily at night and wake up early, as well as reduce drinks that contain stimulants such as tea and coffee, and stay away from turning on the TV in the bedrooms.

For his part, the community medicine specialist, the official spokesman for the Emirates Public Health Association, Dr. Saif Darwish, stressed the need to gradually adjust and adjust the sleeping hours of students and young children, whether during the school year or vacations, noting that during sleep, brain and memory cells are renewed, so Every child should get enough sleep, especially during the night. All families with young students must work to maintain normal sleep hours and times.

He stressed that the problem of staying up late for children is not recommended at all, even during the holidays, as his body must get enough rest all the time.

He stressed the importance of maintaining a healthy diet rich in vegetables and nutrients necessary for the body, and paying attention to breakfast to enable the child to increase his absorption rate.

He advised that the child should stay away from napping, so that he can sleep at the correct time, to adjust the body's biological clock, and it is also advised to stay away from eating immediately before bedtime, in order to prevent causing weight gain.
