China and South Korea celebrated the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations on the 24th, and the leaders of the two countries emphasized the development of friendly relations with each other.

On the other hand, China is keeping a check on South Korea, which is further strengthening its alliance with the United States, and South Korean media reports that "the relationship with China has reached a turning point."

On August 24, 1992, commemorative ceremonies were held in Beijing and Seoul on the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations by the Chinese and South Korean foreign ministers.

At the ceremony, the foreign ministers presented messages from the leaders of the two countries, among which Chinese President Xi Jinping emphasized, "Let's build a friendly relationship with substance, using the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations as a new starting point."

In addition, South Korean President Yoon Sung-ryul said, "I hope to achieve concrete results that the people can experience in areas such as economic security and climate change." I indicated my intention to do so.

After the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and South Korea, the amount of trade increased nearly 50 times, making China the largest trading partner for South Korea.

However, the Yun administration, which advocates further strengthening the alliance with the United States, is moving forward with the deployment of the US interceptor missile system "THAAD," and the Chinese side has restrained it by saying, "The previous administration promised to limit its operation." South Korean media reported that "relationships with China have reached a turning point."
