Parents of students in government schools reported that their children’s school uniform sizes are not available in its outlets, which they recently visited, to purchase the required uniform before the start of the new school year, which will start next Monday.

For its part, the administration of "Lulu Hypermarket", which is responsible for distributing school uniforms, confirmed that the required sizes will be available soon, to suit all students, pointing out that it did not receive any notice regarding the prices of the uniforms.

The Emirates Foundation for School Education stated that parents of students whose uniform pieces did not fit their children can request an adjustment of their measurements from its outlet, through a form prepared for this, where the student's guardian writes the required data in it, and specifies the required sizes.

In detail, the parents of students, Ibrahim Muhammad, Saif Abdullah and Fatima Ahli, confirmed to "Emirates Today" that they visited a number of outlets selling school uniforms, to obtain the sizes of their children's uniforms, but they were surprised by their lack of availability, as the largest size is "17". » and «18», while the larger sizes «XXL» are not available in some pieces.

They pointed out that the sales officials at the outlets informed them that the larger pieces will be available at a later time without specifying a specific time, pointing out that the task of the tailor in each outlet is to modify the sizes only, not to tailor the outfit completely.

And they demanded that the Emirates Foundation for School Education, through government schools, adopt the idea of ​​limiting students' sizes before sewing the uniforms and putting them up for sale in the designated outlets.

They stated that they are keen to buy the required school uniform so that students are committed to wearing it from the first day of the new school year, pointing out their fear of delaying obtaining the uniform so as not to cause disruption to their children in the first days of school, in addition to the fact that the uniform cannot be tailored and sewed in External places, because they must include the logo of the institution.

On the other hand, the Lulu Department, which is responsible for selling school uniforms, stated that large sizes will be available in the outlets soon, stressing that changing the kindergarten uniform after its adoption increased the pressure to provide the required uniform in a short time.

The administration explained that it did not receive any observations on the prices of the pieces of the uniform, as it indicated to the students' parents that the Emirates Foundation for School Education set the price of each piece, and clarified the percentage of "added tax", noting that more than one student's guardian confirmed that the prices are appropriate and there is no increase.
