Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said the US State Department's response to the murder of Russian journalist Daria Dugina discredits Washington's human rights activities on the international track.

“The reaction of the State Department to the murder of Daria Dugina and the evidence presented by Russia of the Ukrainian trace discredits the international activity of the United States on the human rights track,” Zakharova wrote in her Telegram channel.

“Washington has no moral right (there is no need to talk about the lack of legal grounds) to judge human rights in remote parts of the world, since the murder of a journalist is not even commented on from this side, which is so significant for the American authorities.

They simply did not notice that we are talking about a public figure, ”added the representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

In turn, Vice Speaker of the Federation Council Konstantin Kosachev in his Telegram called the State Department's comment, made two days after the murder of Dugina, "tortured."

“A sample of verbal casuistry, political duplicity and human cynicism.

In fact, such a statement by the State Department is a kind of indulgence for the terrorist attacks of Ukrainians against Russians, no matter what is said in the form.

And because the United States, covering up the killers, inevitably become their accomplices.

What can we expect from Estonia, which has long lost its conscience and sovereignty, ”he explained.

Earlier, US State Department spokesman Ned Price said that Russia would draw "certain conclusions" after the incident.

At the same time, Washington condemns the "use of violence against the civilian population" regardless of where it happens.

He also noted that he had nothing to add to the statements of representatives of the Kyiv regime, who deny their involvement in this case.

Served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and left for Europe as a refugee

Natalya Vovk, who was named by the FSB as the perpetrator of the murder of Darya Dugina, some time ago left for Europe in refugee status.

It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the father of Vovk.

“She was in Europe.

Like in France.

Like a refugee

Then she didn’t like it, she returned to Poland, and then to Ukraine, ”the agency quotes the words of the man.

He also said that his daughter served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to him, a few days ago Natalya called him, presumably from one of the Baltic countries: “About three or four days ago.

The dialogue was: "How are you?"

She says, "It's okay, it's okay."

In turn, a woman who introduced herself as Vovk's cousin stated that she "was in the office (APU. -

According to her, Vovk left for Europe a month ago and “didn’t say anything to anyone.”

"Totally Ukrainian methodology"

As the writer, co-chairman of the A Just Russia - For Truth party Zakhar Prilepin noted in an interview with RT, “completely Ukrainian methodology” is traced behind this crime.

According to him, the explosion that killed the commander of the Somali battalion, Mikhail Tolstykh (Givi), was also carried out by a woman who was sent by Ukrainian intelligence.

“The highest cynicism of everything that is happening is that she (suspected of the murder of Dugina. -

) was with her daughter,” Prilepin told RT.

  • Zakhar Prilepin recalled that this is not the first time that Ukrainian intelligence has sent a woman on a mission

The official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Maria Zakharova, commented on the fact that Dugina, a suspect in the murder, was in Estonia.

On the eve of TASS, law enforcement agencies said that Vovk, who had fled to Estonia, would be put on the wanted list with a view to extradition to the Russian authorities.

“We see very well the position taken by countries that have lost the statehood they so much dreamed of, but are implementing the steps that are being imposed from across the ocean.

We perfectly saw their position on all issues, whether it was a reaction to the crimes of the Kyiv regime, that is, complete indulgence and any financial support.

They take the same position on energy issues and on all humanitarian issues, ”Zakharova said on the air of Komsomolskaya Pravda radio.

In turn, Estonian Foreign Minister Urmas Reinsalu called the FSB statement regarding the murder of Dugina a "provocation."

In his opinion, Moscow is allegedly trying to put pressure on Tallinn for supporting the Kyiv regime.

“There is nothing more to add about this,” ERR quoted him as saying.

On August 22, the FSB announced the discovery of the murder of journalist and political scientist Daria Dugina.

According to the department, the crime was prepared and committed by the special services of Ukraine, and its perpetrator is Ukrainian Natalya Vovk, born in 1979.

She arrived in the Russian Federation on July 23 with her daughter, after which she monitored Dugin and attended the Tradition literary and music festival, where the deceased was an honored guest.

According to the intelligence service, Vovk left for Estonia through the Pskov region the day after Dugina's car was blown up.

“I proved by deed what it means to be a patriot of Russia”

The day before, Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed condolences to the family of Darya Dugina, and also signed a decree on awarding the journalist with the Order of Courage (posthumously) "for courage and dedication shown in the performance of professional duty."

In turn, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev said that he was "shocked by this monstrous crime," and expressed confidence that the perpetrators would be found and "suffer a well-deserved punishment," RIA Novosti reports.
