"Dubai Health" includes outpatient clinics to the "Nabbed" platform
The Dubai Health Authority reported that it decided to include outpatient clinics in the health information exchange platform "Nabid", and gave all clinics in Dubai to join the platform until June 30 next year.
In a circular addressed to all outpatient clinics operating within the scope of its jurisdiction and powers, the authority clarified that all outpatient clinics must join the “Nabd” health information exchange platform within a maximum period of time on June 30 of next year, and it is also required to issue or renew the clinic’s license in the electronic licensing system. Sheryan, the clinic joined the “Nabbed” platform, within the specified period of time.
The authority stressed that the electronic health file system "EMR" must be provided, which at least complies with the minimum requirements to connect with the "Nabbed" platform, and the standards of the platform.
The authority pointed out that the outpatient clinics are free to choose the appropriate electronic health file system for them, provided that it complies with the requirements of the “Nabd” platform, and all the standards required by the authority.
She stated that if the outpatient clinics have already contracted with the providers of electronic health file systems approved by the authority, then the responsibility lies with the service provider to ensure the immediate connection to the Pulsar platform, and the providers of other electronic health file systems that are dealt with directly by the outpatient clinic must work on the necessary link With a "pulsating" platform.
The authority called on all clinics to quickly join the platform within the specified period, in response to the relevant legal provisions in this regard.
The commission defined outpatient clinics as a health facility that provides health care, simple medical advisory services, and first aid, and does not provide emergency services so that emergency cases are transferred to the hospital, and the clinic may include more than one clinic and more than one doctor, provided that the doctors are from the same specialty.
According to the authority, with the intention of the health file, the system that is used to document health, personal and administrative information and data for each person receiving health services in his own file, and this is done in a sustainable, integrated and secure manner, with the aim of achieving the safety and quality of health care and facilitating the use of such information and data by health service providers and organizing its exchange in accordance with the legislation in force them in the state.
