Police, security guards and crisis support staff were some of those who circulated in the large shopping center on Monday.

At the reception a man asked if his belongings had been found, he had to flee the mall with his girlfriend when the shots were fired and was not allowed to take his jacket or shopping bag with him.

The stores remained open, but in one of the large stores near where the shooting took place, affected staff were allowed to stay at home and digest what had happened.

One of Emporia's store employees, who does not want to be named, says that it evokes emotions to be back.

- It is anxiety-filled to go back to work, but also nice to see your workplace as normal again and to be able to talk to your colleagues.

The Red Cross was also present on Monday.

- We are here to create security and show that we are there for people who have been through a terrible situation, says Lena Hansson Varhegyi from the Red Cross.

Many young visitors

Many young people stroll by in small groups of friends, in and out of shops.

Jafter Långberg and Abdulrahman Assali are two of Emporia's young visitors and often come to the mall.

They say that they were eating on Friday afternoon when they suddenly had to get out of the building.

Hear how it feels for Jafter and Abdulrahman to be back at Emporia in the clip above.
