A few days ago, five Emirati cities booked their place among the list of the 10 safest cities in the world, issued by the international Numbeo website, which specializes in providing periodic statistics on many economic, social and security references around the world.
According to the website, the Emirate of Fujairah ranked first on the list of the safest cities around the world, while the Emirate of Abu Dhabi ranked second.
In the seventh place came the Emirate of Ajman, while the Emirate of Sharjah and the Emirate of Dubai ranked eighth and ninth, respectively.
A report issued by the German "Internationals" Foundation on the best destinations for expats for the current year revealed that 94% of the residents surveyed by the Foundation expressed their feeling of safety in the UAE, while the global average did not exceed 81%.
On the level of global competitiveness, the UAE continues to lead many international indicators related to security and societal stability, as it ranked first in the world on the information security indicator in the Yearbook of Global Competitiveness - International Institute for Management Development 2021, and first place on indicators of the absence of terrorist incidents, and the absence of internal displacement caused by On conflict and the absence of poverty-related terrorism in the Prosperity Index - Legatum Institute 2021.

At the level of local studies and surveys, the Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Center revealed, last April, the results of the Security Quality of Life Survey in the UAE 2021, where it indicated that the percentage of confidence in the police agencies in the country and their reliability in law enforcement exceeded 98.4%, and the percentage of feeling safe when roaming Alone outside the house at night 97.5%, while the degree of confidence in the police station near you was 96.4%.
The survey, which was conducted in the field, included a large segment of individuals in public places of the age group 18 years and over, males and females, and in all emirates of the country.
The field survey aimed to measure the opinion of the community in the UAE about the quality of security life, the general impression of the community about the levels of sense of security, the extent of trust in the Ministry of Interior agencies, the level of trust in the police stations in the country and the extent of their sense of reliability by members of the community in the country.
