A particularly muscular arrest occurred on Saturday afternoon in Larmor-Plage near Lorient (Morbihan).

, a patrol from the anti-crime brigade was called for a burglary which occurred at the home of an elderly person.

The car of the suspects, two young women, was quickly identified.

But when the police had erected a roadblock to stop the vehicle, the driver refused to comply and accelerated, jostling one of the police officers.

One of the officers then fired a shot at the car with his service weapon.

No one was injured.

The two young women suspected of the burglary were arrested and taken to the police station.
