Scholz promised Putin that Ukraine would not be admitted to NATO for another 30 years

Scholz's words are quoted by RIA Novosti.

According to him, he told Putin "very clearly" that Ukraine's entry into the North Atlantic alliance was not on the agenda.

“I even told him once after a joint press conference with him: “In the next 30 years, this issue is not on the agenda,” said the German Chancellor.

However, he did not specify when exactly this conversation took place.

Earlier, the head of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Sergei Shoigu, said that the decision to conduct a special military operation was made due to unacceptable threats to Russia's security created by the Ukrainian authorities.
