The People's Strength Ethics Committee has recently initiated a disciplinary process against Rep. Kim Seong-won, who caused a scandal with his remarks at the disaster recovery service site.

Earlier, on the 11th, Rep. Kim made a controversial statement by saying, "Honestly, I hope it rains. The photos will come out well."

The Ethics Committee also decided to initiate disciplinary procedures against Rep. Kim Hee-guk and Kwon Eun-hee for violating the Ethics Committee regulations.

Rep. Kim Hee-guk was sent to trial on charges of receiving 'split support' in the name of an employee of the industrial complex and related companies in exchange for receiving a request for the Daegu Dyeing Industrial Complex to be selected as the grand prize for the old industrial complex regeneration industry in 2015.

Rep. Kwon Eun-hee and Rep. Han Jeong-ae of the Democratic Party of Korea held a debate about the establishment of a police station, and repeatedly expressed their opposition to the police station, and argued that the Minister of Public Administration and Security should be impeached.

However, the Ethics Committee did not discuss whether to take further disciplinary action against former President Lee Jun-seok, who recently criticized President Yoon Seok-yeol and the power of the people through press conferences and media interviews.

As for the reason for not discussing whether to further disciplinary action against Lee, Yanghee Lee, the Ethics Committee Chairman, explained, "It took a very long time (to discuss other discussions) and there were several reasons."

Previously, former leader Lee received a six-month suspension from party membership on the 8th of last month by the Central Party Ethics Committee on suspicion of a teacher who destroys evidence of sexual abuse.
