The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources launched the Youth Council for Government Talents in cooperation with the Federal Youth Foundation, with the aim of supporting young government talents and involving them in designing the future of government talent and human resources, policy-making and developing the government human capital system based on youth visions, aspirations and innovative and creative ideas.

The authority manages the council, which is concerned with a set of responsibilities and tasks, including examining trends of interest to young people in government work, innovating solutions that contribute to promoting and supporting young Emirati talent, and designing future policies for the government human resources system that supports youth.

The Minister of State for Governmental Development and the Future, and Chairperson of the Authority, Ohoud bint Khalfan Al Roumi, stressed the importance of the role of youth in designing the future of government talent and building a distinguished model for government human resources, and the government's keenness to enhance their readiness for the future, embodying the directives of the UAE leadership to support youth, build young government leaders and enhance their role. And benefit from the ideas and energies of young people, who represent the real wealth of the UAE and the engine of development and building the future.

She explained that the goal of the Youth Council for Government Talents is to support young talents, who represent about 30% of the total number of federal government employees, and to involve them in designing human resources policies, and developing the system of government talents and competencies by creating an incubating, motivating, supportive and enabling environment for young people.

She added that the UAE government is keen to empower young people, enhance their sense of responsibility and involve them in government policy-making, and that the council will contribute to providing the UAE government with innovative ideas and youth visions that meet their future aspirations, and support efforts to enhance national human resources through designing policies, setting frameworks and launching projects. and proactive initiatives that employ the energies of youth in building the future of the government sector.

For her part, Minister of State for Youth Affairs Shamma bint Suhail bin Faris Al Mazrouei confirmed that the launch of the council reflects the advanced position of the UAE youth in leading the future of government work, and confirms the leadership's high confidence in the youth and their capabilities and its belief in the centrality of their role in various fields.

She said that the UAE youth are the most important component of the national human capital system, which the UAE government adopts to develop and invest in, by involving the youth in leading its development efforts and making policies aimed at transforming government work into an attractive, incubating and stimulating environment for young national talents.

She added that the council represents a qualitative addition to efforts to build a future government human resource system led by young people, based on their visions and creative ideas, and their high understanding of the state's directions and aspirations for the next stage of its journey to the future.

The Youth Council for Government Talents includes a group of young national talents from the UAE government employees, who were selected from more than 50 candidates from 30 federal entities who presented more than 120 ideas to develop and develop future government talents.

The membership of the board includes the Director of the Senior Department of Strategy, Planning and Human Resources Development at the General Civil Aviation Authority, Hamad Suhail Al-Awadi, the Legal Researcher at the Securities and Commodities Authority, Alia Muhammad Al-Hussein, the Head of the Procurement and Administrative Services Department at the Emirates Space Agency, Nasser Nabil Al-Boom, and the The Employee Happiness Department at the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, Nada Ismail Al Hosani, the Acting Head of the Strategy and Performance Department at the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, Muhammad Al-Ajmani Al-Balooki, and Executive Employee Relations at the Emirates Foundation for School Education, Reem Abdullah Al Tunaiji, and the Head of the Tax Information Exchange Department at the Ministry of Finance, Asmaa Muhammad Al-Zarouni, an agricultural engineer at the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, Ahlam Abdulmohsen Al-Mannai, and the head of the Strategy and Performance Development Department at the Ministry of Interior, Fadel Muhammad Al-Shamsi.

The Acting Director General of the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources, Laila Obaid Al Suwaidi, stated that the launch of the Youth Council for Government Talents reflects the authority's keenness to listen to the voice of young people and adopt their development proposals, in order to achieve a stimulating and attractive government work environment for talent and competencies, embodying the great interest that the youth group enjoys with the rational leadership. .

She pointed out that the Youth Council for Government Talents represents a platform through which young government talents are involved in creating solutions and developing policies that support and enhance human resources in the federal government, in cooperation with the authority's experienced and specialized partners.

She said that the council aims to create a youth-friendly government work system, and to enable this active group in society to formulate future human resources policies, government directions, and develop human capital to reach global leadership in areas of interest to young people.

For her part, the Director of the Strategy and Future Department at the authority, Maitha Kulthum, indicated that the selection of members of the Youth Council for Government Talents came according to a set of criteria, including that the member should have influential societal contributions and initiatives, that the average age of the members be between 18 and 35 years, and the member’s ability to work within Different teams, general culture and good knowledge of youth issues.

She pointed out that the mechanism for selecting council members included several stages, starting with receiving the nominations of ministries and federal entities, passing through a number of assessment tests and personal interviews, and ending with the selection of council members.
