The police already announced early in the investigation that the murder could be linked to the criminal environment.
The target, a 31-year-old man, died while a 39-year-old woman was injured when the gunman opened fire inside the mall in the middle of the Friday rush hour.
According to the police, the injured woman was a passerby who came into the line of fire.
Have admitted
The boy, who admitted to shooting, has been remanded in custody and is now suspected of murder and attempted murder.
The custody hearing takes place in Malmö district court on Monday afternoon at 3:30 p.m.
The arrested boy's defense lawyer, Johan Fernvall, does not want to give any comments to TT before the hearing.
