In a press release sent to AFP and Le Parisien, the two historical figures of the PAF give their version of their departure, and evoke "a situation of rare violence".
"What is discreetly referred to as a + contractual disagreement + arose because FTV demanded a drop in our salary of around 60% and refused to grant us the CDI that we had the audacity to claim", affirm- they in the release.
"Because yes, you read correctly, we have been on fixed-term contracts for 36 years for Arielle, and 47 years for Bertrand ...", they underline.
"We don't exist even though we are on the air every day. This regularization has been bluntly refused to us".
On Friday, Alexandra Redde-Amiel, director of the games, variety and entertainment unit of FTV, announced this departure to Parisian.
"We did not agree and we regret it," she said.
Former candidate of the game, Bertrand Renard refereed the numbers section and Arielle Boulin-Prat that of the letters.
According to Le Parisien, they will say goodbye on September 11 via the "broadcast of the last issues boxed before the summer".
Previously daily, "Numbers and letters" will only be broadcast on weekends at the end of the afternoon on France 3, with a new formula.
