Syria: a lieutenant from the Political Security was killed in an explosion in Daraa

The Syrian Ministry of Interior announced that a lieutenant from the salaries of the Political Security Branch was killed today in an explosive device explosion in the city of Daraa in the south of the country.

The ministry said, in a post on its Facebook page: "First Lieutenant Sharaf Muhammad Juma Al-Ahmad, from the salaries of the Political Security Branch in Daraa, was killed due to the explosion of an explosive device planted in his private car while he was on his way to work in the Al-Kashef neighborhood on the industry roundabout in the center of Daraa."

In turn, the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) quoted a source in the Daraa Police Command as saying that "a sticky explosive device placed by unknown persons in a public car exploded yesterday morning while it was passing near the industrial roundabout in front of the industrial secondary school, which is witnessing heavy traffic, which led to the death of a member of the security forces." The interior was completely burnt out.
