The daughter of Russian ultra-nationalist ideologue Alexander Dougin, Daria Dougina, was killed on Saturday evening August 20 in the explosion of the vehicle she was driving near Moscow.

According to his father, a thinker of “

eurasism

 ” and “

Great Russia

”, had defended the annexation of Ukraine and is reputed to have great influence in Moscow, because he is close to the Kremlin.

He would have an influence on the French extreme right.

According to Russian investigators, the explosion was due to a bomb.

Around 9 p.m., the explosion occurred on a highway in the Moscow region.

At the wheel of the car, which immediately caught fire, was the young journalist and political scientist Daria Duguina, 30, who is none other than the daughter of the

Russian nationalist philosopher and theorist Alexander Dugin

.

According to information from various Telegram channels reputed to be close to the government and later confirmed by the Pervy Kanal channel, the father and daughter were returning from the “Traditions” festival, a Russian nationalist gathering in the outer suburbs of Moscow.

And according to the same sources, generally very well informed, the vehicle which exploded is that of Alexandre Douguine himself, who would have finally gotten into another car.

Which could lead to believe that it is the ideologue who was targeted by the possible attack.

The 60-year-old man, geopolitician promoter of "

Eurasism

" who campaigns for a great Eurasian empire from Lisbon to Vladivostok and dominated by Russia, has been described for twenty years already as one of the brains of the Kremlin.

A real proximity to Russian power - no doubt sometimes exaggerated in the West -, but the man is reputed in Russia as having had

the ear of Vladimir Putin for

a time , in his first two terms in particular.

Recently Alexander Dougin had come back to light: many observers indeed saw the updating of his ideology - an aggressive Russian imperialism vis-à-vis neighboring countries - in the triggering of

the Russian intervention in Ukraine

.
