If many holidaymakers took the road back this Saturday, as evidenced by the 770km of traffic jams recorded at midday, some extend the pleasure for a few days when others are just starting their holidays.

Europe 1 met some of them at a campsite near Marseille.

The holidays aren't quite over yet.

Despite the 770km of accumulated traffic jams recorded this Saturday and a day classified as red in the direction of returns by Bison Futé, several French people do not intend to return to work immediately.

For Simone and her family, the suitcases are packed and the car is fully loaded.

The departure is imminent but not the end of the holidays.

"We made the most of the sun, we had 15 wonderful days, camping at the top. Another week of vacation with us in Normandy and then after, we go back to work. We had a good rest so we will get back in great shape. “, she rejoices.

A crossover at the reception of the campsite

Martine and her husband are retired and therefore freed from the stress of going back to school.

However, they leave early and have even adapted their itinerary to avoid traffic jams.

“We had to go up the Rhône valley and there we are going to make a detour. We hope that it will be fine”.

At the reception of the campsite too, it's the crossover.

Patrick and Nathalie finally arrive after a night drive and have carefully avoided the two busiest summer months: "We come twice a year. We came from June 15 to June 30 and now from August 20 until June 12 september"

While waiting to be able to collect the keys to their bungalow, head for the edge of the swimming pool for this couple, very happy to have escaped the kilometers of traffic jams.
