The Kyiv authorities authorized the use of poisonous substances against Russian military personnel.

This was announced on August 20 in the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

“Against the backdrop of military defeats in the Donbass and other regions, the Zelensky regime authorized terrorist acts using chemical poisons against Russian military personnel and civilians,” the defense ministry said in a statement.

As stated in the ministry, on July 31, the Russian military, performing tasks in the Zaporozhye region, was taken to a military hospital with signs of severe poisoning.

“As a result of the examination, a poisonous substance, botulinum toxin type B, was found in the body of military personnel,” the department noted.

The presence of this substance in samples taken from military personnel was confirmed by an analysis conducted by specialists from the State Research and Testing Institute of Military Medicine of the Russian Ministry of Defense in St. Petersburg.

It is noted that Russia is preparing supporting documents with the results of all the analyzes carried out.

“Evidence of the chemical terrorism of the Kyiv regime will soon be officially sent to the OPCW (Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons) through the Permanent Mission of Russia,” the Russian Defense Ministry said.

Military expert Igor Nikulin, in an interview with RT, spoke about the substance found in Russian military samples.

“Botulinum toxin type B is one of the most powerful organic poisons that is generally known to mankind.

It is produced by the bacteria Clostridium botulinum.

These are anaerobic bacteria, that is, they must live in conditions of complete absence of oxygen,” Nikulin said.

Recall that since the beginning of the Russian special operation in Ukraine, the defense department has repeatedly warned about the preparation by the Ukrainian side of provocations using various poisonous substances.

In particular, at the end of July, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that the Ukrainian side plans to blow up containers containing 120 tons of a chemically hazardous substance called hexane in Slavyansk.

According to the agency, if these plans were implemented, a toxic cloud could have formed that could spread more than 10 km.

In June, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that Ukrainian special services were preparing a provocation with poisonous substances in the Sumy region.

As stated in the department, the Ukrainian side intended to spray potent poisonous substances in order to blame Russia for this.

At the same time, the ministry emphasized that Russian stockpiles of chemical weapons were destroyed in accordance with international agreements in this area.

In addition, in April, the department spoke about the mining by Ukrainian special services of a storage facility with 120 tons of chlorine in the Kharkiv region.

As noted in the ministry, the object was planned to be blown up to accuse Russia of allegedly creating a chemical disaster that led to the death of local residents.

Hospitalization of the head of the Kherson State Administration

In addition, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation noted that against the background of obtaining evidence of the use of poisonous substances by Kyiv, an additional investigation into the poisoning of the head of the provisional administration of the Kherson region Vladimir Saldo is being carried out.

Recall, Saldo announced his hospitalization on August 4.

In a publication on his Telegram channel, he stated that the Minister of Health of the Kherson region insisted on an immediate medical examination of the head of the military-civilian administration (CAA), citing the appearance of Saldo.

According to the head of the administration, the doctors who arrived at the scene made a decision on immediate hospitalization.

The next day, the RIA Novosti agency reported, citing the press service of the regional administration, that Saldo was being transported for treatment to Moscow, at the Sklifosovsky Research Institute.

On August 20, a message appeared in the official Telegram channel of Balance that he was on the mend.

“Now the state of health of the head of the administration of the Kherson region has improved significantly.

Vladimir Saldo is on the mend, communicates with relatives and colleagues, studies news and other information, ”the message says.
