Commenting on the possibility of adopting such a package of sanctions, Mezukho noted that he does not rule out any scenarios.

“Because it is not in Europe that decisions are made regarding visa restrictions for Russians and other new economic and political sanctions.

It is clear that there is no unity in the EU on a new package of sanctions against Russia, but there was no unity on the previous ones either - all these sanctions were always pushed through by the Americans, ”the political scientist emphasized.

Earlier, the Estonian Foreign Ministry proposed to the European Commission to introduce the eighth package of sanctions against Russia.

The head of the ministry, Urmas Reinsalu, stressed that Tallinn intends to achieve a political consensus in the entire Schengen visa area in order to impose sanctions against all Russian citizens.
