At a press conference on Friday in Jönköping, the Liberals presented proposals to make it easier for those who want to own a detached house or a villa.

The party believes that the housing market is heading in the wrong direction because it is too difficult for many to live in the way they want.

- We have big problems in our country today in getting plots of land for houses.

Too much has been prioritized by the current government on rental housing where it has not been prioritized to facilitate and encourage single-family housing, says Jakob Olofsgård, who is the Liberals' housing and rural policy spokesperson.

In the clip, Jakob Olofsgård (L) tells the party's plan for more people to be able to live in villas.

Uncertain economic times

The party presents proposals that they believe will strengthen the citizens' economy.

Another proposal concerns not changing the interest deductions.

- People are worried about their personal finances.

It's high interest rates, crazy electricity prices, expensive to fill up the car and also expensive in the grocery store.

In the situation we have now, we think it is completely wrong to worsen the interest deductions, says Mats Persson who is the Liberals' economic policy spokesperson.
