Finland's 30th prime minister has been embroiled in drug allegations after a video of a frantic party was leaked.

Finnish broadcaster YLE reported on the 18th (local time) that Prime Minister Sanna Marin denied the allegations of drug use and said that he would be tested if necessary.

After a video of Prime Minister Marin's party went viral on social media that day, both the opposition and the ruling party ordered drug tests.

In the video, Prime Minister Marin danced and sang passionately in a house with about 20 celebrities, including Finnish singers and broadcasters, as well as members of the ruling party.

Even if it was a private meeting, it was embarrassing to be the leader of a country, and the controversy grew as there were reports that the word for cocaine in Finnish was heard in the video.

"We had a party a few weeks ago, and we had a party, but we drank, we didn't do drugs, we didn't see anything related to it," Marin said.

He said, "I just enjoyed my leisure time with my friends, as do my peers.

In December 2019, at the age of 34, Prime Minister Marin was elected as the leader of Finland's largest Social Democratic Party, making him the world's youngest active prime minister at the time.

In December of last year, after close contact with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, who tested positive for COVID-19, he left his work phone at home and played with his friends at nightclubs until 4 a.m. before an apology.
