According to him, Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection Robert Habeck must do everything to ensure that Germany has more energy.

“We must launch Nord Stream 2 as soon as possible to fill our gas storage facilities for the winter,” he said in an interview with the editorial association Redaktionsnetzwerk Deutschland.

Earlier, the head of the Bundestag committee on energy and climate issues, Klaus Ernst, said that the sanctions imposed against Russia turned out to be hara-kiri for Germany.

The politician also called for the launch of Nord Stream 2 and for holding talks with Russia in order to prevent a possible cold winter.
