The completion rate of the Sheikh Ammar Street development project reached 65%.

The project, which will include the provision of a rainwater drainage network according to international standards, is one of the projects of the first package of the initiative of His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman, to develop the infrastructure and advance the Emirate of Ajman to be one of the most important modern cities in the field of architecture and construction.

The project, at a cost of 69 million dirhams, will include the development of Al-Tallah Street to have two lanes in each direction, which will contribute to ensuring smooth traffic and reducing traffic congestion.

The Director General of the Municipality and Planning Department in Ajman, Abdul Rahman Muhammad Al Nuaimi, inspected the development work on the street, which is expected to be completed early next year, explaining that the project’s goal is to widen the street from both sides to become three lanes in each direction from Al Rawda Bridge to Sheikh Ammar Bridge to increase the capacity. On the street to suit daily use and the percentage of its visitors around the clock.

He indicated that Sheikh Ammar Street is one of the most vital streets in the emirate, which necessitated the preparation of a development plan that includes a study of the current situation and identification of current and future needs.

He explained that the department has finally opened the intersection on Sheikh Ammar Street near the school complex in the Al Tallah area, after completing the development of the intersection, implementing the rain drainage network and installing traffic signals, as part of the development stages of the street to improve traffic for those coming from Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road towards the city center. Abdul Rahman Al Nuaimi said that the municipality has prepared a comprehensive and integrated development plan to cover the areas of the Emirate of Ajman to achieve interconnection between roads, to provide an integrated infrastructure and to enhance interconnection between infrastructure elements and residential communities.

The Director of Roads and Infrastructure Department at the Department, Eng.
