Chaos as the storm swept across the county - water gushed into the secondary school

Just before 5 p.m., the emergency services received an alarm about water rushing into Sandagymnasiet in Huskvarna.

- Due to the storm, it is a pipe that has not held up to the pressure, it burst and water has flowed in which has destroyed it.

We also have water in the basement, says high school principal Linda Davidsson.

Several water-filled basements

During the afternoon, the emergency services also received alarms about flooded basements from, among other places, Habo, Jönköping and Huskvarna.

The viaduct between Österängen and Vättersnäs also flooded, according to the alarm the water level was 40 centimeters above normal.

Several fallen trees

Several trees have, among other things, fallen over roads and playgrounds around the county.

A tree fell on upper road 881 in Näsby in Vetlanda municipality, also in Stockaryd in Sävsjö municipality on Vrigstadvägen, a tree fell across the road.

In Huskvarna at Lerkullen's playground, a tree fell down.
