Nablus

- Palestinian citizen Salah Tawfiq Sawafta died of a critical wound from the Israeli occupation bullets, which stormed the city of Tubas in the northern West Bank and the neighboring town of Tammun at dawn today, Friday, to arrest wanted men, while another young man was wounded in the thigh area.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health said, in a brief statement, a copy of which was received by Al-Jazeera Net, that the 58-year-old citizen, Sawafta, died of critical wounds after being hit by live bullets.

Violent confrontations erupted between Palestinian youths and the occupation army during its incursion into the area, while the occupation army stated that its operation resulted in the injury of two civilians and the arrest of 5 others.

Al-Jazeera Net learned from well-informed press sources that the occupation army fired directly at the martyr Sawafta when he was returning from the dawn prayer, and he was directly hit in the head.

The director of ambulance and emergency at the Palestinian Red Crescent Society in Nablus, Ahmed Jibril, told Al Jazeera Net that the injury led to severe bleeding and a laceration of the skull, "because it caused an entrance and an exit," according to his confirmation.

A video clip circulated on social media also documented the soldiers shooting the martyr, who tried to escape and take cover in a building wall without showing any resistance, which confirms the intentional killing of the occupation.

The martyr Sawafta was transferred to the Turkish Governmental Hospital in the city of Tubas, where he underwent first aid operations in an attempt to save his life. Then he was transferred to Rafidia Governmental Hospital in Nablus to complete his treatment, where he underwent an operation, but he died of his injuries.

His funeral is expected today, Friday, in his hometown of Tubas.
