Only one department remains on orange rain-flood vigilance, the Pyrénées Atlantiques, according to Météo-France.

On the Pyrenees and the Massif Central, after a calm morning, the weather will turn stormy in places.

In the Basque country in particular, the showers strengthen at the very beginning of the day on Thursday, taking on a stormy character.

The weather will still be stormy Thursday in the East and near the Pyrenees, with however now only one department in orange vigilance, the Pyrenees Atlantiques, according to Météo-France.

A relative calm takes shape in the middle of the day, before a tendency for a new strengthening of the showers, until the evening.

In the Basque country, accumulations are expected in 24 hours between 70 and 100 mm, even very locally 120 or 130 mm at the foot of the Basque mountain.

Gusts of 80 km / h in the southeast

The sky will remain busy on Thursday also on the eastern side of the country.

In the afternoon, the stormy showers will concentrate on Rhône-Alpes and PACA, then the Northern Alps in the evening.

On the south-east, thunderstorms still occur in the second part of the night, in particular towards the coastal areas of the Var, they are less strong than the previous ones.

Over Languedoc and the Rhône valley, the mistral and tramontana will rise, clearing the sky.

Gusts will reach 80 km / h at the end of the day.

Elsewhere, the trend will be calm.

In particular, fine clearings will develop in the west of the country.

They will be later from the Paris Basin to the Center and the South-West, a risk of showers will persist for a large part of the day.

On the Breton tip, the improvement will not last, a new Atlantic disturbance will be announced and the sky will cloud over at the end of the day.
