Multiple US media reported that the US Air Force has suspended all flights of the CV-22 Osprey transport aircraft, which is also deployed at Yokota Air Base in Tokyo, due to a problem.

According to the U.S. defense media, the U.S. Air Force Special Operations Command has suspended all 52 CV22 Osprey transport aircraft on the 16th.

According to reports, one of the two engines and the clutch that connects the rotor have failed in a total of four cases since 2017, and two in the past six weeks.

It is said that there have been no casualties due to this problem, but the U.S. Air Force has said that it will be grounded until the cause is understood and countermeasures are taken, and it is not known when flights will resume.

The U.S. Air Force's CV22 Osprey is mainly used for transporting Special Forces, and is deployed at Yokota Air Base in Tokyo, and is also undergoing training in various parts of the country.
