According to him, UN Secretary General António Guterres "discussed efforts to advance the cause of peace."
“But we are still very far from the time when we can discuss efforts for a complete cessation of hostilities,” TASS quoted him as saying.
He also said that Guterres has no plans to visit Russia yet.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, following talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and the UN Secretary General in Lvov, said he remains confident that the hostilities in Ukraine will eventually end at the negotiating table.
According to him, Guterres and Zelensky "agree on this issue."
