Questionable training

This is a real blow for the players in the sector, worried about the future of certain training courses.

This is the case in the apprentice training center in Mâcon, in Saône-et-Loire.

Two weeks before the start of the school year, Emmanuel, president of the training institute, had planned to open a bac +3 training course in computer science in September, with eight students in apprenticeship, for a provisional budget of 11,600 euros per student.

"In all likelihood, if the conditions of the State do not change, they will continue their studies in Lyon, Dijon or Paris. They will not be able to do it in Mâcon", he laments at the microphone. Europe 1. This 5% drop in the costs of certain apprenticeship contracts, desired by the government, is however not a surprise, according to Yves Hinnekint, president of the Walt association, which represents part of the professionals of the 'learning.

"This reduction in contracts was expected, but its implementation is surprising since the rules for this application have been falling since last July. The problem is that financing 730,000 apprentices with the same budget as in 2018 is not not possible", he explains on Europe 1, when four years ago there were 400,000 apprentices.

The State hopes to reach 800 million euros in savings with this planing.

The Walt association is asking for more time so that the learning players can organize themselves and find new financing solutions.
