Hamdan bin Zayed: The UAE is keen to uphold universal humanitarian principles

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, representative of the ruler in the Al Dhafra region, and Chairman of the Emirates Red Crescent Authority, stressed the keenness of the UAE, under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, to uphold the universal humanitarian principles that came for the good of man, his happiness and his right to A life, decent living, and commitment to its human responsibilities to alleviate human suffering.

His Highness said in a statement on the occasion of the World Humanitarian Day, which falls on August 19, that the UAE has strengthened its humanitarian efforts and development initiatives around the world thanks to the support of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and is moving forward in the same approach. which I planned to preserve human dignity.

His Highness added, "The legacy that the UAE has achieved in this regard and the position it has assumed imposes on it a greater commitment to humanitarian issues, and places upon itself a pivotal role in improving the quality of life and warding off risks from the weak."

His Highness praised the state's permanent initiatives to reduce poverty, hunger, disease, epidemics and malnutrition and confront the repercussions of climate change, in addition to its initiatives to reduce the burden of suffering in less developed countries by providing the basic life requirements for those who deserve it without discrimination of gender, color or race, whose only criterion is the need for support and assistance.

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan said that the current crises, conflicts and natural disasters in many arenas put our humanitarian organizations and relief agencies in front of a great challenge that requires a strong stance, tremendous efforts and joint action to provide better living conditions for those affected in those areas.
