Forest fires devour hundreds of hectares in Russia

Forest fires have devoured an area of ​​181 hectares in areas of the Russian province of Ryazan, to the southeast of the capital, Moscow.

"Forest fires are spreading in 5 regions of the province, and an emergency system has been implemented in the Spassky and Klebekovo regions," said Acting Governor of Ryazan Province, Pavel Malikov.

More than 300 people and 100 vehicles, in addition to two Ka-32 and Mi-26 helicopters and an L-76 aircraft, participated in the firefighting operation.
