A series of explosions occurred in the Crimea region, Russian military experts: it was the special unit of the Ukrainian army

[Global Times Comprehensive Report] Recently, explosions have occurred in the Crimea region.

Although Ukraine has not officially acknowledged that they were responsible, a senior Ukrainian official told The New York Times that the operation was carried out by an elite special unit on the Ukrainian side behind enemy lines.

Russian military experts also believe that this series of bombings was carried out by special units of the Ukrainian army, aiming to cause instability in the local situation.

The Russian "Izvestia" reported on the 17th that on August 16, an explosion occurred at a Russian military ammunition depot near the village of Myskoye in northern Crimea, injuring at least two people.

The Russian Defense Ministry said the explosion was caused by someone deliberately detonating it.

Afterwards, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky hinted at a new attack in Crimea in his speech.

This is the third recent attack on a military facility in Crimea.

On August 9, an explosion also occurred at the Saki Airport in Novo Fedorovka, Crimea, killing 1 and injuring 14.

The Russian side said that in the explosion, Russian aviation equipment was not damaged, and the ammunition depot was not affected by the fire.

However, according to pictures taken by foreign commercial satellites, the explosion caused nine Russian fighter jets to be blown up.

At the end of July, Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozaev said that a Ukrainian drone launched an attack on the Black Sea Fleet command in Sevastopol, injuring five people.

According to the Russian "Viewpoint" report on the 17th, just as the Russian army continued to launch a fierce offensive in the Donbass, Ukraine began to launch attacks and sabotage activities behind the Russian army.

This is evidenced by several recent sabotages near Kursk and in the Crimea region.

Russian military expert Alexei Leonkov believes that the three incidents in Crimea are all part of the same chain.

Apparently, a group of professionals carried out sabotage operations on the peninsula.

He said the attacks were carried out by the Ukrainian sabotage reconnaissance team.

The Kyiv move is aimed at diverting the attention of the Ukrainian public from the Ukrainian army's defeat on the front line.

Regarding the way the Ukrainian detachment infiltrated Crimea, Leonkov said that the Ukrainian army sent a detachment of the 73rd Marine Corps Special Operations Center from Ochakov to Crimea by sea.

Usually they launch at night in an inflatable boat about a mile from shore and swim ashore, where they bury their wetsuits, fins and respirators in a stash, then mix with the local crowd with fake documents, money and everything they need middle.

After completing the attack, the Ute detachment evacuated the way they came.
