The 25-year-old international, who arrived in the French capital in 2018, has signed for four seasons with two optional additional seasons, the English club announced in a press release.

The versatile defender, who has 20 caps with the German selection, was not in the plans of new coach Christophe Galtier, who called on his arrival for a reduction in the workforce.

In the defensive sector, PSG has already hired the Frenchman Nordi Mukiele during the transfer window.

Kehrer was transferred from Schalke in 2018, for compensation estimated at 37 million euros.

He leaves PSG for 16 million euros, bonus included, according to the daily Le Parisien.

The German, who has played 128 matches with Paris in four seasons, has been training in recent weeks with the group of "undesirables" that PSG would like to transfer before the end of the summer transfer window.

Among them, Idrissa Gueye, Ander Herrera, Rafinha, or even Julian Draxler.

While it hired midfielders Vitinha and Renato Sanches, defender Mukiele and striker Hugo Ekitike, PSG parted ways with goalkeeper Alphonse Areola (West Ham), defender Colin Dagba (loan to Strasbourg), midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum (loan to AS Roma) or striker Arnaud Kalimuendo (Rennes).

West Ham, 7th in the Premier League last season, is engaged this season in the Europa League Conference play-offs.
